The Truth About Making Money Online (Reposted from Bukisa)

The Truth About Making Money Online

Most people will fail in making money online, because of 3 things they believe in, that if you want to make money online, you should know about.

Making money online is something that most of us would like to be able to do. But, sadly a lot of us will never make it. Most people who set out to make a living online, will fail and give up in the first few months or so. And that’s not because its not possible to make money online, or that we aren’t lucky enough to make it.

No! Its because of all the misconceptions and the wrong mindsets. Its because of all the lies and BSs that we have been fed for years by the so called “internet marketers”, “big online money making gurus” and others who are making money by telling us lies and making me and you believe that if only we buy their product, we will get rich overnight. There are a lot of myths and lies about making money online out there, that if you want to make money online, you should know about.

Making money online isn’t easy or quick

To make any decent amount of money online, whether its through selling on eBay, affiliate marketing, blogging, paid surveys or any other online money making method, you need to have a plan. A realistic plan along with a set of realistic goals. Thinking because its online, you will make money over night, is the first step towards failure.

Although scammers and those who try to tell you that making money online is easy and fast, the truth of the matter is that making money online is no less easier or faster than making money offline and in the real world. In fact I believe in some situations making money online is much harder and takes longer time than earning a living offline. Snake oil salesmen tell you those lies in order to make you buy their crappy so called “report” or “product” so they can make money off of you. Don’t you think if it was that easy to make money, they would be doing it themselves, instead of going through all of the efforts and time it takes to create a report, set up a website, drive traffic to it, advertise it and more, all in an order to make a few dollars from selling these so called “money making reports”?…
Stick with one method

One of the most common reasons why so many newbies fail in making money online is the simple fact that they give up to soon and they jump from one idea to another. And that’s because of that wrong mind set and because of the beliefs in those online money making myths and lies.

They think they can make money over night, so they try a method, but they don’t go all the way with it and they don’t give enough time fro the results to show. After a few days, weeks or months of working on it and not making any money, they think its the method that’s wrong. So, they give up and look for other ways to make money online. And since most online money making methods take time and hard work, they repeat this process over and over. They spend hunderds of dollars on useless reports and money making e-books and never make a dime out of them, until one day they completely give up and come to believe that you they cant make money online.

The best thing you can do to ensure you make money online, is to stick with it. When you find a method that you like and want to take that route for making money, give it all you have got. Make a plan and stick with it, until you get results.

I am not saying  stick with any crappy method for rest of your life, even you aren’t making money after putting a lot of efforts ad time into it. But, you will know if after putting a lot of efforts and time into a specific method and not making a dime, if its because of what your doing or better yet because of what you aren’t doing right, or its simply because that specific methods has flaws in it, and isn’t a very reliable way for making money online.
Not everyone can make money the same way!

Another misconception about earning money online is that most people think because Mr “X” can make money blogging, they can make money with a blog as well. Just because someone else is making money affiliate marketing, doesn’t mean you can do that too. Just like real life, not everybody can make money the same way. Different methods require different skills, experience, knowledge and attitude. There are a lot of people who are making money affiliate marketing, but they couldn’t make a dime if you asked them to start an online business selling thing on eBay. You have to consider the requirements and all that it takes for one to make money with a certain method, before putting a lot of time and effort into it.

So, if you want to really earn money online, get your mind set right and forget about easy and quick money. Be prepared for failures, disappointments and hard work. Find an online money making method that fits you and you think you can handle. Make a plan and fallow through. Stick with your method until you succeed or fail. If you succeed, scale it up, out source your time consuming but necessary tasks, so you can focus more on more important things in your business and make more money. If you fail, move on to another method, and repeat this process until you succeed in making money online.

Making Money With MTurk

I have tried earning money through PTC's - I gave up on that.

I have tried earning money through PTR's - Didn't find anything legit.

I am still on myLot and am hoping that I will get paid. Their minimun pay-out is $10, so far I have $6 on my account. They only pay through paypal which is not available in the UAE, but I'm hoping that it will be sooner or later.

Thankfully, I found a new hobby!

I am now trying another money making site called mTurk. It like Odesk whre you get to do jobs requested by other members, but here you don't have to bid so it's easy to pick a HIT (that's what jobs are called), finish it, then submit. The requestors will decide to Accept or reject your work and some of them pay really fast, others pay after 3 - 4 days. My favorite requestors are Oliver and Dolores Labs.

I have also found an mTurk forum wher you can sign up if you feel lost in completing Hits. It's a friendly community. Ask all you want.

Ther is one important thing that I have to mention: Mturk only pays cash for US residents. If you are not from the US, you can still do Hits in mTurk but you only get paid through the Amazon Gift Card which you can use to shop on their site. Still cool right?

This is not an affiliate site. They give real tasks. So if you want those extra bucks, sign up and enjoy!

Traffic Exchange Sites and Google Adsense

Because of a comment from a friend from myLot, I had to read the Google adsense guidelines carefully and thoroughly since I only broswed through it when I signed up. And thanks to that comment I found out that I violated one of the guidelines

Click here to read the Google adsense guidelines

So I immediately withdrew my membership from the traffic exchange site and will just look for other ways to get taffic for my blog.

For you who have google adsense in your blog or website, be sure to read the guidelines carefully to make sure that you will get the payment from your visitor clicks and for your account not to be blocked.

Google Adsense PIN

Google is a very big company so that must mean that Google adsense would be legit, right?

Well that's what I thought but not until 10 minutes ago were all my doubts erased.
I know Google adsense is legit but at the back of my head were some unsure thoughts since I haven't recieved my PIN from them yet.

For those who are new to Google adsense, your Google adsense PIN is required for you to be able to accept payments from them. You don't automatically get it when you sign up.

When you log in to your account, you will find a message saying Your account is on hold. Don't be alarmed. You can request for your PIN just by clicking on their link.

Now, here's comes a test of patience. Your PIN doesn't come right away when you request for it. In my case I had to request 3 times before it came.

At last, my wait is over! I am now sure of Google adsense' genuineness so my aim now is to promote my blog, get traffic so they will click on the ads.

For those who have blogs or websites that don't have advertisements... don't waste time add Google adsense now.

So Disappointed With Gagabux

Gagabux turned out to be a scam!!!

This is so sad since it's the PPC program that I have decided to put my focus into. It is very hard for me to get referrals because my friends don't believe in online money making programs. And Gagabux turning out to be a scam would only increase their skepticsm because I've made a big anouncement that I have asked for a cash-out and am just waiting for it on my paypal account. I told them that if it turns out to be true, they should all sign up as my referrals so they could earn money too.

The sad news is that I've been waiting for more than a month now and the $2 is still in queue. What a bummer.

I'm starting to lose faith in PPC's all in all.

My myLot friends tell me I should try others and they are giving me some sites, but I think I'll wait for my dissapointment to wear off before I try signing up for a PPC again.

I'm continuing Buxify and my other PPC's. Hopefully I get something out of clicking.

Getting Traffic For Your Blog

Since I am no SEO expert, I research as much as I can about how to get traffic for my blog. I asked the myLot peeps and some of them gave really good advise.

I hope they can be useful to you to.

My Question:

I have a blog about money making which seems to be a very common topic. I have registered my blog to search engines but it is still not searchable.

I have adsense in my blog. but if I cant get traffic how can I make money from adsense?

Can you give me any tips?

Advice from saumitrakumar:

Regular update your blog.Post at least one post daily if you have enough time.Submit to search engines and wait for 2 or 3 weeks.Blog directories are also very good ways to drive traffic to your blog. But one thing,be patient and let your blog traffic increasing. You can go for Google Adword also, but you have to pay some fees for it.
Create email signature.Tell other peoples or your family to see your blog.Submit it to article writing sites.Write articles and give a link to your blog.As you have said, your blog contains adsense,so don't try traffic exchange sites.Go for some classified sites and submit your blog to it.These are the various ways through which you can drive traffic to your blog.

Advice from johnbrainless:

Get into some traffic generation sites like trafficg and try to post your website to as many catalogs as possible. also try to find ways to advertise for free through tweeter and facebook for example. be well.

Advice from archon309:

Patience is the key. Also, keep updating your blog. If you can post one short entry a day the better. :). Also visit other blogs and post some comments and don't forget to leave the link to your blog. Just like what I did to your blog just now. :)

Also, join other communities like blogcatalog and mybloglog and get as many friends as you can so that your blog will have more exposure.

Advice from rbdescartin:

According to the adsense expert they said according to drive traffic to your site you must have your own domain at first according to look it professional but it is better to start for a free site, I suggest to watch or visit joelcomm.com he is the adsense expert earning a thousand dollars a day in adsense, how I wish I could earn that one day.

Advice from magtibaygom:

Google AdSense seldom give money based on traffic alone. The visitors must click ads. If you are generating huge volume of traffic to your blog and none of them are clicking the ads, there is still a chance you will make money, but the money will be too little. You have need to optimize the placement of your ads in your blog for higher chance of clicking. There is a tutorial about this in Google AdSense back-office site.

*********************************

I haven't tried doing all their tips yet, but I did a few and had positive result.

I know saumitrakumar said not to go for traffic exchange sites but I did anyway and I liked seeing from Google analytics that people view my blog. Although they only view it for an average of 20 sec, having visitors is better than none.

The traffic exhange site that I joined is traffic ad bar. You get points with every website that you view and in turn they send other members to view your websites you. You can submit up to 5 website so can promote, not only your blog, but your other sites you, like your PTC's.

You can join TrafficAdBar by clicking on the banner

How to Get Visitors For Your Blog

As I have mentioned on my previous post, creating a blog and placing Google adsense is easy. The difficult part is to get visitors to browse your blog.

The first thing you need to do to submit your blog search engines like Google or Yahoo.

There are other different kinds of search engines, but let us just stay with the most well-known ones.

There might be a better and more proper way of doing it but here is how I did mu submission...

Go to google.com or yahoo.com and type in their search bars submit URL to Google or submit URL to Yahoo. You then copy paste your URL and add some comments if you want to and viola! their spiders will crawl your site and after a day or two your blog will come up when you type it on their search boxes.

Don't just type a few words and expect to see your blog come up. You would need to do some research about keywords and SEO first before you achieve that.

If you don't have the patience or 'talent' to do SEO here are some programs that you can try Stupidly Simple SEO or Marketing Fringe (Laziest Way To Flood Your Site With Free Traffic).

Making Money from Blogs With Google Adsense

It has been a while since I last posted a blog. It is part of my nature (and of some of you too, I believe) to start some things and not finish them.

Anyway, I know patience is the key to achieving most things, so I'm back and I am promising, with one hand over my heart, that I will continue with my blog until I reach my goal... so help me God.

My earning online escapade is getting a very, very slow progress because I am starting to get tired of my PTC’s and I also found out that myLot has no way of paying me since I am in the UAE, so now I am planning to concentrate on my blog and am even thinking of starting another one with a different topic.

My blog’s primary income generator is Google adsense. For those of you who don’t know what it is, Google adsense is a way for you to get paid by placing ads on your blog or website.

Getting adsense on your blog is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Create your blog.
2. Apply for an adsense account
3. Generate your ads and place them on your website.

Not very detailed, I know, but I’ll let the experts do the explaining so I’ll just add the link here Google Adsense

Now when you have added Google adsense you get paid for every click on the ads that are on your site. Easy right? … Not!

Making a blog and adding adsense is easy, but how do your get visitors to your website and how do you get them to click on the ads?

This is what I am working on now, so if you find the topic interesting, feel free to follow my blog. :)

My First $2 Cash-Out From Gagabux

Haha!!! I was able to reach my 1st $2 yesterday and I was very excited to cahs out.

Before I did asked for help from other PTC earners if it was a good decision of cashing out, since $2 is not a very huge amount. But let's face it. $2 is still 2 dollars and if I have proof that I'm getting paid then it would be a lot easier for me to encourage my friends to join and be my referrals.

Most of the replies I got said I should and so I did! ...And just as they said, pay outs nowadays get a little bit longer to process. Most probably because a they have a lot of people clicking on ads now and there are more cheaters out there so verifying of accounts take longer.

Anyway, someone told me earlier that they still get paid, so all I need to do now is wait and keep on clicking.

Earning $5,000 through Online Jobs: myLot.com

Earning $5,000 through Online Jobs: myLot.com
www.mylot.com

myLot.com

www.myLot.com

I know you techy guys out there have lots of ways to earn through the net.

Witty, creative & talented people would surely not have the same problem as mine because a lot of people post jobs online that you can apply for.

But for us, gramatically-challenged, unimaginative poeple, earning $5000 through the internet is not an easy feat.

All I can do is search the internet for free money makers since I don't have a credit card and even if I do, I won't use it for something that I'm not really sure is legit.

So here I am, joining another site which looks promising.

myLot.com

It is a social network where you get paid by blogging, joining the forums or leaving your comments.

This is now my 2nd best site when it comes to PTC & PTS sites.

Try it!!! If you missed the referral link here it is www.myLot.com

Gagabux.com Best PTC I've Joined So Far

Gagabux.com is the best PTC program I have joined so far. By now I have signed up for more than 10 PTC sites and click actively since I joined most of them because of referral swapping.

Why I like Gagabux best? Well, You only need a minimum of 100 click and $2 to get your first pay out, whereas other PTC’s minimum pay out is $10.

At the rate that I am going on, it would take 1 year before I earn that much.

The only problem I have encountered with Gagabux is that it’s so good and famous that almost everyone who are into PTC’s have already signed up for it.

So far, I only have 1 referral on this site and $1.16. Hopefully, I get more by the end of the day, then I can finally write “I Got Paid!!!”

If you haven't signed up for Gagabux yet, I highly recommend that you do.

The Quest to Earn $5000 Though Online Jobs

I have been 'working' the internet for 2 months now and so far I have earned...nothing.

Before I burden you with my quest...here's a little bit of introduction.

I work as an expat in Dubai and hoped to strike gold. But alas! It is not as easy as I thought.

The global economic recession hit the country so bad, a lot of expats were either sent home or had their salaries reduced so they can keep their job.

So here I am, with an 'ok' job but a 'so-not-ok' salary.

I live from paycheck to paycheck, with only enough to pay for the necessities and none left for good and pretty stuff, which for an OFW should not be.

People back at home believe that I am enjoying "the life" and that they can ask money from me anytime they need it.

Now, the problem is, I am going home next year. So I need to save for a round trip ticket, the goodies I have to bring home and the money I will be spending to treat my friends and relatives to an extravagantly overwhelming dinner.

This is where the online stuff comes in.

I searched the net for a part time job but most of those that came up were "Get Paid for Filling Up Surveys." All the advertisements said is was easy so I went ahead and tried.

Unfortunately, most of the available surveys are for people who live in the US or Canada.

Next I came accross data entering jobs. I answerd 3 assignments and after submitting it I received a notice that to claim the payment I had to buy other assignments for this and that amount.

From what I read from other blogs, people who fall for the 'you should pay us so we could pay you' scheme are fools.

The virtual assistant and medical transcripion option were scratched out before I even tried. Skype is not allowed in the UAE.

I also trying out Google adsense and have earned €10 so far. But since I don't own a domain and cant afford a hosting serviceI don't get any traffic and I need €60 more to get a cash out. sigh!!!

The recent conquests that I have tried are PTC's. Apparently, people are really getting money from it. So here I am, trying to be one of those people.

I thing I have learned is that you will not get money if you don't get referrals.

Very unlucky for me because my relatives and friends don't believe in PTC's and other referral programs, so unless I can show them proof that I earn from what I do in the internet, I will not be able to convice them to help me build my downline.

2 days ago, I discovered joining forums. Oh, what a great joy!!!

Now I get referrals from other Clickers who want to exchange. At last, I'm beginning to see some light.

So, my aim is to earn $5000 from all the things that I do online.

Unattainable? Maybe. But who knows. I might just get lucky.
